Navigate North
Looking for a venue with stunning views, lovely waterways, endless nearby activities, and exhibit space that’s as functional as it is expansive, then look no further than the Stone Harbor Resort, Hotel & Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Perched on the banks of the scenic waterway, this venue was named “Best Lakeshore Resort” at the Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism. As Door County’s largest conference center, Stone Harbor boasts 161 guest rooms, a first-class restaurant and pub, plus meeting and event space for up to 450 people with 6,500 square feet of flexible meeting space. You’d be hard-pressed to run out of room here!
But if running is what you have in mind, or for that matter, swimming, hiking, biking, golfing, relaxing in a spa, or team building in exhilarating surroundings, then your event should take place at one of northern Wisconsin’s gorgeous resorts and conference centers. Featuring comfortable onsite accommodations, savory cuisine, breathtaking views, and meeting spaces that inspire, your attendee’s experience will be most memorable at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Green Bay; the KI Convention Center; Minnesuing Acres; Heartwood Resort; or Hotel Northland, Autograph Collection.
Down South
For as much as Wisconsinites talk about “going up north,” it’s important to recognize we love the southern region of our state as well. What’s not to love? For example, the newly renovated La Crosse Center perched on the banks of the Mississippi River features two grand halls, a 6,000 square-foot ballroom, three boardrooms, and a conference room, for a total of nearly 100,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space. Or, the Alliant Energy Center in Madison where you’ll discover a multi-venue complex with three unique and versatile venues, including Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Exhibition Hall, and Willow Island. What’s more, there’s ample parking, on-site catering, a dedicated staff and a full range of A/V equipment with high speed internet. And of course, any mention of southern Wisconsin’s prime venues must include Stoney Creek Inn & Conference Center in La Crosse.
Finally, who wouldn’t want to be submersed in the serenity of 90 verdant acres known as The Abbey Resort & Avani Spa? With its luxury accommodations, deluxe outdoor venue options, onsite restaurants, 6000 square feet of meeting space and a spa facility, it’s the place to be for groups wanting to converge in the beautiful Lake Geneva region.
Keep it Central
Nothing beats a metropolitan area, where everything is close by - fine dining, luxury hotels, theaters, museums, shopping and so much more. If your event needs to be in the heart of the action, consider the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center in Milwaukee. Popular for conventions, trade shows, and other big events, this venue offers two options. Memorial Hall, a beautiful banquet hall with sweeping views of downtown Milwaukee, can accommodate up to 260 guests with a dinner setup or up to 400 with a lecture | theatre style set-up. From late spring to early fall, Fitch Plaza is a unique outdoor patio with spectacular lakefront views and capacity for 300+ guests. Another wonderful option is the fairly new Hilton Garden Inn Brookfield Conference Center.
Wherever you go, your goal is to produce the meeting or event that’s going to be so grand, so fabulous, that it will remain in the memories of your attendees for years to come. Choose one of these venues, and that will most assuredly happen or visit our Wisconsin Conference Center Guide or Wisconsin Convention Center Guide for additional options today!
