Every client has a theme in mind when planning an event, so Ultimate Events works closely with each to create their “themed vision!”
For some events, simply renting linen and table top décor will bring a theme to life. Other themed events may benefit from adding lighting, ceiling décor, décor props, and furniture to achieve their exact look.
This season, we’re seeing exciting trends that will complement the hottest themed events. Consider using any of the following to make your occasion theme like a good time.
Linen Trends: It’s important that linens incorporate the flow of the theme. Linens can vary from satin, to damask to overlays. Create a rustic feel with burlap linens and runners, or add it to centerpieces. Popular colors this season include soft blue and aqua palettes, while purple and pewter are also in demand. For weddings, traditional white on white remains a classic choice. The “picnic” theme will always be in style, enhanced with a variety of colorful checked linens.
Lighting: Up lighting can introduce the colors of the themed event. Either stationary or moving LED lights will draw attention to many areas. Rustic chandeliers will create a focal point for an outdoor feel, while paper lanterns can be used to add color or fill up the open space above the event. Traditional twinkle lights are a popular choice. When applied to tents, trees and ceilings they create the illusion of a star-filled night sky.
Centerpieces and Décor: Centerpieces complement the table and help carry forth the theme. Adding birch branches with crystals will produce a higher-end earthy arrangement. Votives with candles add light and dimension to a centerpiece, while accenting with a ribbon in the theme color will tie everything together. Favors are very popular too, and should follow the theme of an event.
Adding props to enhance a themed event is popular. For example, a rustic, outdoor event would benefit from wood props like tables, doors or windows. Adding trinkets to the open frames will provide a separation of the venue space.
White glass vases are also being used to help accent themes, such as Victorian, oceanside and outdoor garden events. Mason jars, copper tea pots and other old containers work to extend a garden theme as well.
