That's Entertainment — Trends in booking entertainment for your event

We’ve all been at events where the entertainment is lackluster or, even worse, it’s annoying and disruptive. This year we’ve noticed that more and more event planners are cluing in to event entertainment that’s unique and exciting.

Change of scenery

When it comes to event entertainment, sometimes temporarily getting off-site can be a good thing. Bring your guests to a show or performance where they can continue to interact with each other, but in an environment that’s fresh and full of new energy. A comedy show is especially good for this, since nothing brings people together like sharing a laugh (and a cocktail!) After the performance, the group can move back to the original event space, or infuse even more variety by heading to a third location to cap things off.

Tailor-Made

For those who want to bring the entertainment to them, customized entertainment (like an improv group) is an excellent way to captivate your guests. Be sure to request a pre-show meeting with the entertainers to make sure they can meet your needs, and also so they can customize their content to include your group’s specific information and in-jokes, making the event feel one-of-a-kind. Custom entertainment is a surefire way to have guests remember your event for months (or even years!) to come.
