We’re headed into the season of glitz and glam, glitter and candlelight glow. This time of year make sure your holiday event includes the hottest trends for cold winter nights.
Metal. Aluminum, stainless steel, and copper pieces are making an elemental impact. Especially popular this season - metal candleholders and vases, aluminum tables, and industrial vintage steel chairs. The look is cool, polished and sleek.
Candleholders and Candelabras. It’s time to go old-school with these classic accessories. Now available in any color, ramp up your holiday look by adding crystal pendants, bobeches and pearls.
For pillar candleholders, the challenge has always been how to display pillar candles without crossing the “no open flame” barrier. Enter the new Luminaire Flameless Candle. Color. No matter what color Pantone chooses for 2014, prints are the real story - geometric, distorted floral, and marbleized, to name a few. Look for silver, gold, champagne and copper to remain hot, embellished with sequins for more ornate and complex looks.
On the opposite end of the design spectrum, the rustic look features chenille, faux silk, and raw woven, which all continue to be in demand.
Wood. The rustic farm look seems here to stay - not just a trend, but a new sub-category for event décor. Wooden farm tables and benches, hand-crafted bars, vineyard chairs, wine barrels, and rail carts have all found a permanent place in the industry. Mix this look with ornate Baroque styling to give your décor a modern twist.
Ferris wheels and hot air balloons. Due in part to the quirky influence of Steampunk, look for these images to pop up in gobo light patterns, hanging decor, centerpieces, or the real thing as the ultimate guest experience.
