Visit Bemidji Awarded a Marketing Award of Excellence at Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference

BEMIDJI — During the recent 2018 Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference in Mankato, Visit Bemidji was awarded a Marketing Award of Excellence for hosting the 2017 Bassmaster College Fishing Tournament last August on Lake Bemidji and its chain of lakes. "The national championship showcased the excellent quality and variety of fishing available on Bemidji area waters, resulting in gaining recognition of Bemidji as one of Minnesota's top fishing areas," a press release said.

The judges selected Visit Bemidji's marketing campaign based on the ambitious goal to position the Bemidji lakes area as a premier Minnesota fishing venue, especially for bass, the release said.
