If restrictions are lifted, the Padelford Riverboats headquartered in St. Paul plan to go ahead with cruises on the Mississippi at its St. Paul and Minneapolis locations this summer — but operate at 16 percent capacity to allow for social distancing at reopening.
In an email on Wednesday, the riverboat company said: “As we navigate the uncharted territory of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are busy preparing a plan to safely reopen for the 2020 season.” The company said its reopening plan prioritizes monitoring employee and passenger health, healthy hygiene practices, social distancing, personal protective equipment, cleaning and disinfecting.
Season passes purchased for 2020 will be honored through the 2021 season, according to the email. When a schedule is available, it will be on the Padelford website: riverrides.com
