Hutchinson Chamber earns marketing award

The Hutchinson Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism received an Explore Minnesota Marketing Award for its marketing campaign #MuchinHutch. The award was presented during the Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference this past week at the Verizon Center in Mankato.

Explore Minnesota is the state's tourism promotion office. Tourism is a $15 billion industry in Minnesota and a key sector of the state's economy. The leisure and hospitality industry employees more than 265,000 workers, representing 11 percent of Minnesota's private sector employment. Leisure and hospitality also generates 18 percent of the state's sales tax revenues. Minnesota welcomes nearly 70 million domestic and international travelers annually.
