Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s Miracle on Canal Street team serves up hope at Ronald McDonald House

Casino Public Affairs Specialist Kathy Ciskoski scoops up a helping of sautéed green beans for guests of the Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin (RMHC) has been selected as one of this year’s benefiting charities of Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s signature community program – Miracle on Canal Street. RMHC is excited and grateful for the opportunity to receive such a generous grant to help fund ongoing operational costs. Additionally, Potawatomi’s Miracle on Canal Street team served an evening dinner to the families at the Ronald McDonald House on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 from 6-7 p.m.

For 30 years, RMHC has opened our doors and our hearts to families who are often at the most frightening point in their lives – seeing their child through critical medical care. RMHC is committed to providing our families with the normalcy of home while everything important in their lives is out of control. While many of us take for granted a home cooked meal, our guest families who often return to the House exhausted after a long day at the hospital, are immensely grateful for this simple gesture. Volunteer groups, like the group for Potawatomi Bingo Casino, provide and serve dinner to our families nearly every night.
