Minnesota Chapter of MPI to host Annual Kick-Off meeting

Minneapolis, MN – Meeting Professionals International Minnesota Chapter (MPI MN) will be hosting its Annual Kickoff meeting for the 2011-2012 membership year from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Mystic Lake Casino and Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

Representatives from each chapter committee (Membership, Education, Strategic Alliances, Leadership Development, and Communications) will be on hand to answer questions and give information on what volunteer opportunities are available.

Following lunch, keynote speaker David Mann, a truly gifted storyteller, actor, and theatrical director will examine the Bridge of Communication- how every conversation is an opportunity to create a meaningful lasting connection.

David will introduce a simple way to identify your communication style and that of your listener and show how vocal inflection and body language always communicate more than words. With examples drawn from his years in the theater he’ll examine the essentials of telling a good story, authenticity in expression, and how to communicate your ideas clearly while remaining relaxed.
