MINNEAPOLIS NORTHWEST LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 1, 2013 / Minneapolis Northwest Convention & Visitors Bureau has officially launched their new website, www.minneapolisnorthwest.com, a website devoted to increasing awareness of the Minneapolis Northwest and Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area as a premier destination for travelers and meeting planners.
The website was designed by Lunar Cow Design out of Akron, Ohio and was launched as part of Minneapolis Northwest’s new branding initiative.
The Minneapolis Northwest website provides area information and resources for people who are planning trips, meetings and other forms of travel to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area in a format Minneapolis Northwest feels will benefit the user.
“I believe users will like our new website because it’s easy to navigate, visually stimulating and includes a vast amount of pertinent information for travelers and meeting planners,” said Tim Zunker, Senior Sports and Marketing Manager with the Minneapolis Northwest Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The purpose of the site is to get users to what they’re looking for with as minimal clicks as possible.”
With numerous Destination Marketing Organizations throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro, Minneapolis Northwest felt a new website was essential to remain competitive. “Because of competition, we need to strive to stand out,” said Zunker. “People are looking for information to be easily attainable and I feel this site exceeds their needs.”
The new website includes two new features: an iMap and Blog. The iMap is an interactive metro map which shows users exactly where a point of interest is located on the map. This new map also includes an itinerary trip planner which allows users to create and map out their personalized trips. The Blog will tell users about the latest news and events happening in the Minneapolis Northwest area as well as the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro. Also, they have allowed guests to blog about their own experiences and share their personal stories.
