As the Hard Rock Cafe prepares to return to the Twin Cities in mid-August, it’s looking to hire 150 new employees.
The Hard Rock Cafe aims to hire about 150 employees to staff its planned location at the Mall of America — and it’s hosting a three-day job fair at the megamall in order to identify candidates.
Twin Cities Business reported in early February that Hard Rock Cafe was planning the new location, citing some basic details disclosed in an online job posting. The company declined to comment on its plans at the time, but in March, it confirmed plans to move into MOA — and said its new location will also feature a music venue with a capacity for up to 1,200 guests.
Now, it's looking to fill a wide variety of positions for the new location, which is expected to open in mid-August and will be located on the first level, inside MOA’s Nickelodeon Universe.
From Tuesday, July 8, through Thursday, July 10, Hard Rock is hosting a job fair to hire servers, bartenders, bussers, cooks, hosts, and “retail associates.” (Hard Rock is perhaps known more for its rock ’n roll memorabilia than its cuisine.) The job fair will be held at MOA’s “Great Room,” which is located in the southwest corner of Nickelodeon Universe.
Parent company Hard Rock International currently operates venues in 56 countries, including 140 cafés, 20 hotels, and nine casinos. The new MOA location marks Hard Rock’s return to the Twin Cities. It shuttered its downtown Minneapolis location in Block E in 2011.
