Doesn’t this remind you of your childhood dreams in which you’d come down on Christmas Day and find a horse/car/uattainable object of your desire wrapped up with a big bow under the Christmas tree?
Well the present in this case is a brand new hotel, and the altruistic giver is Four Seasons. The Four Seasons Denver, according to its wrapping, set to open October 19 at midday. That's nearly a full month earlier than we expected.
From walking by, it definitely looked ready – there were lights on in various parts of the building (including some bedrooms – lucky family and friends?), the function room that was lit up upstairs looked ready to go with frothy chandeliers, and there was even a doorman on duty already.
We’re kinda in two minds about this one. On the one hand, yay, a luxury hotel! And it’s so high it’ll have incredible views.
On the other, though, Denver seems almost too funky for a FS – we can’t imagine the formality we’ve experienced at other FS properties would really gel here. However, the website is advertising introductory rates as low as $180 until January 31, which would be pretty fine. After that, they'll go up to $360.
Guess we’ll just have to make a return visit to decide for ourselves, won’t we? Sigh.
