Loews Hotels announced that Jonathan M. Tisch will resume the duties of CEO for the company following the departure of Kirk Kinsell, effective immediately. Mr. Tisch will continue to serve as Chairman of Loews Hotels and Co-Chairman of the Board for Loews Corporation.
Kinsell recently informed the company of his decision to resign for personal reasons.
"Loews Hotels has never been stronger,” Tisch said. “During Kirk's tenure as CEO, there have been many positive changes at Loews Hotels, and we fully intend to build on that success … Loews Hotels will remain focused on opportunistically growing in key markets with our hotels and resort destinations.”
Headquartered in New York City, Loews Hotels has three brands, Loews Hotels & Resorts, Loews Regency and OE Collection. The company owns and/or operates 25 hotels and resorts across the U.S. and Canada, including the newly-acquired Hotel 1000 in downtown Seattle that will be rebranded into a Loews Regency in 2017. Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando opened in July 2016.
