Floral Business Blossoms For Luna Vinca in its New Location
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN – (January 22, 2010) – Luna Vinca, a popular Minneapolis-based floral design business, closed its doors in Uptown late last year and reopened in the charming Designers Guild Building located in the Warehouse District. The floral boutique opened in Uptown nearly 12 years ago as a retail and flower shop that offered unique gifts, locally-made jewelry, candles, home décor, stationery and cards. However, the business experienced substantial growth in its floral design, which prompted the move to its new design studio.
“We enjoyed years of success as an Uptown retail shop, but the bulk of our business evolved into floral design, said Jennifer Guion, owner and founder of Luna Vinca. “We updated our Web site (www.lunavinca.com) a few years ago and, as a result, we experienced a significant increase in our wedding business and as a preferred vendor for corporate events. It made sense to move away from the retail arena and focus on this aspect of the business.” But, Guion will be offering a limited selection of online retail options featuring favorite items from the shop in the near future.
Although it was difficult for Guion to leave her Uptown spot, she is thrilled with her new studio in the Designers Guild Building. Its colorful walls, high ceiling, large windows, and eclectic décor allows Guion and her staff ample room to create their signature floral designs while capturing the curiosity of their close-knit tenant community. As always, Guion offers metro wide deliveries but Luna
Vinca is also open to the public and walk-ins are welcome. The studio is usually open 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, but occasionally closes for an event set-up or run to the flower market.
What’s hot in the shop right now? The “OMG” arrangement, a beautiful mix of high-end flowers stylishly arranged in a vase, beginning at $150. Also available now through Valentine’s Day are stunning parrot tulips. Starting at $20, these fresh from Holland super large tulips come in bright colors with eye-catching feathered, curled or waved petals.
