The Courtyard Milwaukee Downtown has completed a $2.1 million renovation, according to a news release.
The hotel at 300 W. Michigan St. has renovated all 169 of its guest rooms to include new bedding, functional work space, separate seating area, spacious bathrooms and complimentary in-room Internet access, the release said.
It also refreshed its lobby area, which includes media pods, complimentary wireless Internet and The Bistro, a casual restaurant.
The Courtyard and other downtown hotels are facing increased competition from the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown, which opened in June 2013, and the Hilton Garden Inn, which opened in November 2012. Courtyard is a limited-service Marriott brand.
