4 Colorado hotels, resorts recognized as some of the best in US

DENVER (KDVR) — If you’re looking for luxurious stays across the state, a few Colorado hotels and resorts were recently named some of the best in the country.

Travel + Leisure released its “World’s Best Awards” with roundups of readers’ favorite hotels, destinations and experiences of the year. Among the listings, four Colorado stays were featured as some of the best in the Mile High City and even the country.

Tripadvisor: Colorado hotel among top 1% of hotels in the US

Between beachside views in California and Massachusetts, Hotel Jerome, Auberge Resorts Collection in Aspen placed fourth in the roundup, citing the “Old West fantasies” like horseback riding and fly fishing as the highlight of the stay. It also made the 2023 list and ranked as the best in the country.

Another Auberge Resorts Collection in Telluride also made the list at No. 9. Madeline Hotel and Residences is beloved for its ski-in, ski-out space at the base of the mountain with year-round activities like hiking and biking.

Sonnenalp Hotel came in at No. 10, as the ski lounge and in-house ski concierge made it a favorite stay near the base on Vail.

Another hotel in Denver made a similar list. The Rally Hotel was voted the No. 1 favorite hotel in Denver. This isn’t the first time it has made the list. The hotel in McGregor Square took the No. 1 spot in the 2022 awards and No. 2 in 2023.

The Rally Hotel is known for sitting right across from Coors Field and serving up a Colorado Rockies-themed menu at the Skybridge Rooftop Deck as well as hosting its own Rockies Hall of Fame.

Other Denver hotels on the list included The Oxford Hotel, The Maven, Hotel Clio and Clayton Hotel & Members Club.
