The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is the 30th-best hotel in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report's annual "Best Hotels" ranking.
"The Broadmoor earns praise from travelers for its large rooms, which are outfitted in classic, Old World-style decor," U.S. News says in its report. "Recent guests also had high praise for the friendly and accommodating staff."
U.S. News also praised The Broadmoor's cuisine and bar options, which include La Taverne and Pool Café.
To compile its report of the best hotels, U.S. News says it takes "into account reputation among professional travel experts, guest reviews and hotel class ratings; 2,194 scored high enough to be recognized as Best Hotels in the USA."
Seventy-nine Colorado hotels were ranked as luxury, with 13 earning a gold badge, meaning they scored in the top 10 percent of the rankings.
The Little Nell in Aspen also graced the top 50 national list, coming in 33rd.
U.S. News lauded how The Little Nell caters to skiers and snowboarders with its on site "Ski Concierge team," as well as its element47 and Ajax Tavern restaurants.
Hotel Jerome, An Auberge Resort, also in Aspen, came in 45th, noted for its cozy rooms, plush furnishings and warm, friendly staff.
The best-rated hotel in the nation is the Four Seasons Resort in Lanai, Hawaii, followed by The Peninsula Chicago and The Langham, Chicago, the report said.
