Breathe new life into your event in Ottumwa. With the largest event venue in Southeast Iowa and accommodations for all interests and budgets, diverse dining experiences, and memorable activity options, Ottumwa offers a unique and versatile backdrop for your next meeting or event.
Meeting Venues - Bridge View Center, opened in 2007, is nestled on the banks of the Des Moines River and is the crown jewel for the City of Ottumwa. This 92,000-square-foot complex features an expo hall, adjoining conference/meeting space, a state-of-the-art theater, and the Grand Lobby. It is the premier destination in Southeast Iowa for concerts, theatrical events, and conventions.
Accommodations - Ottumwa has more than 500 hotel rooms for every taste and budget. There are historic hotels, flag brands and intimate bed and breakfasts. Our Hotel Planning Committee will work to secure the best room blocks possible. All properties are less than four miles from the Bridge View Center, including the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites MainStreet, located right outside the venue's front door.
Dining - Ottumwa residents represent more than 40 nationalities, and that diversity is most obvious in our dining options. Ottumwa and Wapello County boast more than 50 local restaurants, offering a one-of-a-kind culinary experience for your meeting attendees. Let our team get creative and plan a memorable off – site reception or dine-around for your group.
Attractions and Activities – We are ready to plan that “postable” activity for your group. Hike on Ottumwa's 16 miles of river trails. Check out the Video Game Capital of the World Museum. Have your parody picture taken at the American Gothic House & Center. Cool off at the Beach Ottumwa indoor-outdoor waterpark. Visit the Air Power Museum at a working 1930s antique airfield. Enjoy golf, disc golf, pickleball, basketball, tennis, and a variety of indoor options at the Southeast Iowa JBS Sports Center. Coming in the winter? Let us plan a Bald Eagle Watch tour. Looking for something new and different for your meeting? Our planning team will make it happen.
