The Abbey Resort and Avani Spa appointed the new Director of Rooms

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Cassandra (Casey) MacVeagh director of rooms for The Abbey Resort and Avani Spa. The Benchmark Resorts & Hotelsproperty is located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Michael Lucero, general manager,made the announcement.

“It is such a pleasure to welcome Casey our resort,” said Mr. Lucero. “She brings vast operational and senior leadership experience to our property, which she will put to great use heading up our Rooms department, and as a participating member of the resort’s executive team.”

Casey MacVeagh comes to her new role with over two decades of distinguished hospitality experience. She was previously general manager for the Wingate By Wyndham Appleton, located in Appleton, Wisconsin. Throughout her career she gained valuable experience in both Front Office and Housekeeping operations in both the hotel and residential condominium industries, having served as general manager, executive housekeeper, and front office manager.

Ms. MacVeagh is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management with a minor in Human Resource Management. She received her Master’s in Management degree from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ms. MacVeagh is relocating from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to the Lake Geneva area.
