Jan 16, 2020, 10:14pm CST A new hotel just footsteps from Target Field is taking reservations starting on Jan. 24.
The Element Minneapolis Downtown, an extended-stay brand by Westin, has 156 rooms, a fitness center, rooftop patio and a breakfast room that doubles as a work space.
The hotel, along with adjacent music venue The Fillmore that opens Feb. 12, was developed by United Properties, which is owned by the Pohlad family.
The Minneapolis developer sold the hotel for $34 million on Dec. 30 to Lion Hotel Group, a division of Duluth-based Labovitz Enterprises.
At 501 N. Sixth Ave., the hotel is next to Target Field station, a major hub for light rail trains, the Northstar Line and buses.
