The Chesapeake Lodging Trust has announced that its 613-room Marriott Denver City Center hotel in Colorado will become the Hilton Denver City Center on Dec. 1.
"We appreciate the years of service by our Marriott friends and partners; however, we are happy to welcome Hilton into our hotel," stated James L. Francis, president and CEO of the Trust.
The Trust recently completed a multiyear repositioning program for the hotel, investing more than $27 million on upgrades and renovations over the past 36 months. "Our strategic plans in Denver began several years ago when we began a transformational renovation of all public areas, food-and-beverage facilities, and every guest room and bathroom," said Francis. "The fully renovated hotel will be the only Hilton-branded property in all of downtown Denver."
The hotel features 32,000 square feet of meeting space, with dining on American fare at Prospect's Urban Kitchen and Bar.
