Officials, construction crews and other stakeholders of an $80M project to construct a second tower at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino on Thursday morning held a "topping-off ceremony," marking a milestone that moves construction to the interior of the 180,000-square-foot project.
The second hotel tower at the casino will be attached to the 19-story, 381-room hotel tower that was built at the casino in 2014. The expansion will create 119 additional rooms and suites, a spa and meeting space.
It is expected to open in the spring of 2019.
The project is being done without any assistance from the city of Milwaukee. The contractor for the project is Gilbane Building Company.
