A prominent Pewaukee hotel is rebranding.
The Country Springs Hotel, which was purchased by Waukesha Hospitality in February, will rebrand itself as The Ingleside Hotel in spring 2018, according to a company news release. Chicago hotel design firm The Getty Group is leading the design and rebrand, which will take place on the heels of an extensive hotel renovation.
The word "ingle" is a synonym for fireplace, so the name means "by the fireplace," according to the release. The name is meant to reflect the "warmth and comfort" the new design, which includes upgrades to ballrooms, meeting space, all guest rooms and a new lobby coffee shop, will encompass.
The hotel will remain open during the renovation.
"The property has a strong history and many unique assets, including a first-class location and over 40,000 square feet of meeting space," said Stephen Zanoni, chief operating officer of SilverTree Hospitality, a division of Waukesha Hospitality's parent company Burwell Enterprises. "Our goal is to build on that uniqueness and create a convention, wedding and leisure destination for the entire upper Midwest.”
Burwell's CEO Peter Burwell said the entire hotel staff was retained in the February purchase, in part because of the "family atmosphere of the hotel."
“My family always looks to deal with businesses that ‘have heart,’" Burwell said. "That’s most certainly the case at Country Springs. We look forward to refreshing the property to meet the character level of the people who work here.”
