MINNEAPOLIS, Oct 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Palomino confirmed today that they will be vacating their location at 825 Hennepin Avenue due to an early termination clause exercised in their lease. Because of this notice, the restaurant will plan on serving their last guests on December 12, 2010. The restaurant plans to have numerous special offers and events to thank their guests and Minneapolis for supporting the restaurant.
"The restaurant had just introduced a new menu featuring farm-to-table and locally sourced products, but, since our landlord handed us lemons – we decided to make Limoncello," said Scott Smith, CEO.
Over the next few weeks, Palomino will announce special offers via email and Facebook. They will also post a special website, so Palomino guests can be first to know about the special promotions. People can sign up for their email at Palomino.com or friend Palomino Minneapolis on Facebook. The special URL will be published shortly.
"It's a way to 'ciao' to our guests and, more importantly, look out for our employees as we enter the traditionally busy holiday season, and near our last day, we want to give something back to the Minneapolis community."
Palomino will look to guests on its email list and fans on Facebook to identify the charity they would like to support. A final date for the event will be set once the charity is chosen.
"We think it's important to support a community that's been so supportive of Palomino," Smith said.
While there were no specific plans for a new location announced, Palomino encouraged guests to keep watching on Facebook for the latest updates on the progress of a new location.
