The Denver suburb of Aurora, Colo., has a new property that should be prime for medical meetings, as well as other types of group events: The Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center, which debuted in April near the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The hotel and conference center, which features 249 guest rooms and suites with both mountain views and work stations, is also located near both the Denver International Airport and the new Regional Transportation District Light Rail line. All accommodations—195 deluxe rooms with king beds, 49 deluxe rooms with two queen beds, four grand suites, and one presidential suite—offer complimentary Wi-Fi; 55-inch, flat-screen televisions; and individual climate controls.
The center has 15 meeting rooms — including 20,000 square feet of traditional meeting space, an 11,750-square-foot Grand Ballroom, and 8,100 square feet of meeting space that holds accreditation from the International Association of Conference Centers. Approximately 4,000 square feet of outdoor terrace space is also available. The hotel provides catering service for group events, and also the Borealis restaurant, which incorporates local flavors with Asian and Middle Eastern influences.
The Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center also features a fitness center with high-tech cardio and strength-training equipment, a hot tub, and an outdoor swimming pool with sun deck.
