Developers say they're planning to build the first new hotel in Breckenridge in more than 20 years.
Urgo Hotels & Resorts and Triumph Development LLC said they've broken ground on a 129-room Residence Inn by Marriott located on 2.6 acres at 600 South Ridge St., across the street from the Village base area and QuickSilver chair lift at the southern end of Main Street. The new hotel is slated to open in fall 2016.
The site used to house the Breckenridge Mountain Lodge.
