Hyatt's Rappaport returns to Marcus as Timber Ridge GM

A long-time Marcus Hotels & Resorts manager is returning to the company after several years at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.

Gerald Rappaport is the new general manager of Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, part of the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, according to a news release Marcus issued Tuesday.

Rappaport previously was general manager of the Hilton Milwaukee City Center and the InterContinental Milwaukee after Marcus acquired the hotel in 2005. He then became general manager of the Hyatt, where he oversaw a $20 million renovation, according to the release.

The Hyatt has not hired a new general manager yet, a spokeswoman there said.

Milwaukee-based Marcus Corp. (NYSE: MCS) has named Timber Ridge’s previous general manager, Leslie Johnson, director of sales and marketing for the Grand Geneva and Timber Ridge.
