The owners of a historic Iowa hotel say they plan to reopen next month.
New owners Jay and Denise Hartz announced Tuesday they will reopen the Hotel Pattee in Perry, Iowa on Nov. 5. The 100-year-old hotel will begin accepting reservations Nov. 1.
The plush 40-room boutique hotel underwent a $10 million restoration before reopening in 1997, but it lost money and closed in 2006.
The hotel opened again with a new owner in 2008 but it abruptly closed last summer
Perry is about 30 miles northwest of Des Moines.
