LAKE GENEVA, Wis. With the recent opening of a 146-room lakeside hotel and the acquisition of The Inns of Geneva National, Geneva National Golf Club has expanded to become Geneva National Resort. The newest addition is the hotel property formerly known as the Interlaken Resort, which reopened as Geneva Ridge Resort under the management of Geneva National’s parent company, Paloma Management. It has been extensively remodeled, as have The Inns.
The Inns of Geneva National offers 36 condo-style guest rooms located near the Geneva National clubhouse and adjacent to the resort’s Player Course, while Geneva Ridge is on the south shore of Lake Como, directly across from the Geneva National complex. In addition to lodging, Geneva Ridge provides an array of luxury amenities, including a full-service spa, indoor and outdoor pools, water activities and a marina. It also offers more than 22,000 square feet of modern meeting and banquet space.
“The opening of Geneva Ridge has put us into a completely new category,” said Geneva National Resort owner Garth Chambers. “Coupled with our acquisition of The Inns of Geneva National, it puts us among the leading resorts in this region, appealing to everyone from golfers to boaters to corporate meeting planners and wedding parties.”
Geneva National Resort features three championship golf courses, designed by PGA Hall of Famers Gary Player, Arnold Palmer and Lee Trevino, respectively. The trio of tracks is among the best in the Midwest, offering manicured bent grass tees, fairways and greens, and five tee boxes. The Player Course was recently named one of the Top 50 golf courses for women in the U.S. by the July issue of Golf Digest. The Palmer Course has also won critical acclaim, cracking Golfweek and Golf.com’s Top 10 lists for Wisconsin. ResortsAndLodges.com ranked Geneva National overall as the best golf resort in Wisconsin and one of the Top 10 in the Midwest.
Geneva National Resort also features the award-winning Hunt Club Steakhouse. Managed by Martha Militello and featuring James Beard Award-winning chef John Havlis, it offers some of the region’s finest dry-aged steaks and chops, including the signature 34-ounce Tomahawk Chop. It has also won the “Best Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator magazine.
