Long-serving Potawatomi Hotel & Casino general manager Mike Goodrich has resigned, ending his 14-year tenure in the position, the tribe announced Thursday.
The Forest County Potawatomi Executive Council has named vce chairman Hartford Shegnoee as Goodrich's replacement. Shegonee previously held several other leadership roles, including general manager of the Milwaukee hotel and casino.
According to the tribe, Shegonee was also "integral" in the opening of Potawatomi Bingo in 1991.
During his 14 years as general manager, Goodrich oversaw two major property expansions. The first in 2008, when the casino added an additional 500,000 square feet of gaming space, and the other in 2014, with the addition of the hotel.
A spokesman for the tribe declined to comment about the reason for Goodrich's departure.
