Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center
Hyatt Senior Vice President Jordan Meisner announces Greg Leonard as General Manager of Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. Leonard returns to the Mile High City after two years as General Manager of Hyatt Regency San Antonio. Before transferring to Texas, he was the general manager of Grand Hyatt Denver for five years, overseeing a guest room and lobby renovation, and Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center for ten years prior to that. Leonard began his more than thirty year career with Hyatt in food and beverage.

During his tenure in Denver, Greg Leonard was known for his work on behalf of local charities. He was captain of the Bike MS Colorado Team Stay Fit at Hyatt that grew to more than 200 riders and that raised more than $1 million during the course of thirteen years. He is also active in Colorado Special Olympics and other important causes.

With Leonard's return to the Mile High City, a complete renovation of Hyatt Regency Denver's 60,600 square feet of meeting and event space, including two large ballrooms, concludes. The new conference space delivers a Colorado sense of place as Denver designers Rowland + Broughton add layers of texture and color to evoke the surrounding mountains, while contemporary furnishings and innovative design details create a modern yet residential feel. The hotel's foyer functionality is enhanced with furnishings that can be configured for a variety of meeting and convention seating styles. One innovative meeting space provides collaborative seating and a work table for multi-functional use.

To introduce its new conference space, Hyatt staff invited those who book a meeting to take advantage of the Free WiFi Meeting Package. When booking a meeting at Hyatt Regency Denver before December 30, 2015 that actualizes before December 31, 2016 with a minimum of 50 rooms on peak night, WiFi in the Capitol and Centennial Ballrooms is provided complimentary. As the ideal complement, all 1,100 newly refreshed guest rooms provide free WiFi as well.

Richard Scharf, President/CEO of VisitDenver said, "Greg Leonard is a true leader and we welcome his return to Denver. We feel his contribution in many ways from his community involvement to his efforts to improve the Colorado experience by delivering exceptional hotels for all to enjoy."
