Twin Cities Premium Outlets in Eagan opens Thursday and is expected to draw plenty of traffic in its first week.
If you're not shopping, you might want to stay away from the facility at around 10 a.m. today. That's when officials expect traffic to begin snarling up, the Star Tribune reports.
There will be a ribbon cutting at the mall at 9:30 a.m.
The 409,000-square-foot outlet center has more than 100 shops, including Armani, Vera Bradley, Filson leather goods for men, Steve Madden and Francesca's Collections.
The new shopping center will be a short drive from the venerable Mall of America in Bloomington, the Star Tribune writes. Many industry observers expect the pairing of the two malls will be good for both. However, the Eagan mall will have outlet versions of some Mall of America stores.
