Following 15 months of construction, a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel has opened in Bemidji, Minn., Hilton Worldwide announced last week. Located on Lake Bemidji, the $14 million beachfront hotel adjoins the existing Hampton Inn & Suites Bemidji.
“The opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Bemidji marks the first hotel for our brand in this market, and is a welcome addition to our portfolio,” John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said in a statement. “We look forward to catering to guests seeking first-class accommodations and amenities, and delivering our globally-recognized service culture ... for our guests, team members and the community.”
DoubleTree by Hilton Bemidji offers 92 guest rooms, more than half of which have private balconies. Additionally, it offers access to 700 feet of private beach, canoe and kayak rentals, an onsite dock for boat access, an onsite restaurant, a 24-hour business center, a 24-hour fitness center, a sauna, a steamroom, and a heated indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, not to mention more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space that’s shared with the adjoining Hampton Inn.
