1. Snowmass is an outdoor paradise. From a mountain that is consistently ranked #1 by ski industry magazines to the myriad adventurous outdoor activities available to guests during non-ski season, Snowmass is an outdoor paradise. When meetings are not in session, attendees can enjoy world-class fly fishing on two gold medal rivers, amazing white water rafting, unbelievable lift-served mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and of course, the best skiing in North America.
2. Accessibility. Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is located just ten minutes from Snowmass lodges, making it the most conveniently located airport in any mountain destination in the world. Because of its close proximity, the majority of our lodges offer free ground transportation to and from the airport, saving groups thousands of dollars in transportation fees.
3. Lodging. Ninety-five percent of the lodging in Snowmass is ski-in/ski-out. In fact, the term was invented here. New for 2019 is the Limelight Hotel Snowmass. The hotel features 99 hotel rooms and 11 for-sale private residences, plus a new restaurant and lounge, a children’s game area as well as a five-story climbing wall that will be open to the public and is the largest of its kind in the state. Modeled after the company’s existing properties in Aspen, Colo. and Ketchum, Idaho, the hotel is located adjacent to Snowmass Mountain’s Elk Camp Gondola providing ski-in/ski-out access. The Limelight Hotel is part of the new Snowmass Base Village, which debuted in December 2019 and features the new Collective Snowmass building (a community hub), events plaza, ice rink, and more. Other great properties for meetings include The Viceroy Snowmass and The Westin Snowmass.
4. Culture, culture & more culture. From the Anderson Ranch Arts Center located in the heart of Snowmass Village to an extraordinary array of festivals, institutions and think-tanks, the Aspen/ Snowmass area has a bigger and more diverse cultural scene than many large cities. In fact, the combination of outdoor pursuits and cultural activities is something no other mountain destination can match.
5. It is breathtaking. Anytime of the year, the scenery in Snowmass takes your breath away. There is nothing like a bluebird day in Snowmass after a huge overnight snowfall. Or when spring gives way to summer and the rivers flow, wildflowers bloom and the Aspen trees rustle in the breeze. Then in the fall, thousands of people make their way to the area to see those same Aspen groves throughout the valley show off their colors in magnificent shades of gold and red. Snowmass is one of the most scenic places on earth, anytime of the year.
