Well Done — Colorado Rare & Unique Venues

It goes without saying that every planner strives to create an event that is memorable. And while an interesting menu or trendy lighting certainly helps, to make a lasting impression we recommend starting with a spot that’s out of the ordinary. Don’t know where to begin? We suggest you consider one of these distinctive Colorado venues:

DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT

Denver Center for the Performing Arts

What makes it different: Dinner and a show? You bet! Your guests will applaud the gorgeous spaces at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The 10,000 square foot Seawell Ballroom features spectacular lighting, concert quality sound system and beautiful décor. The Director’s Room is a more intimate space for up to 80 guests with outdoor patio that offers views of the mountains and city skyline.

Why we love it: The Denver Center for the Performing Arts regularly offers performances of Broadway tours, DCPA Theatre Company productions, statewide education programs, once-in-a lifetime events and more. Catering is provided by Epicurean, a legendary Colorado caterer since 1982.

UP, UP & AWAY

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum

What makes it different: Fly away to Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. Bring your bunch out of the boardroom and watch them enjoy the WWI-era hangar, built in 1939 in the heart of Denver’s historic Lowry neighborhood. From casual meetings for 20 or gala events for 3,500, there is a place and space here for your team to explore.

Why we love it: The Museum boasts more than 182,000 square feet of hangar space filled with iconic aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts, military uniforms, and more. Visitors can even experience the thrill of flying in the Museum’s flight simulators.

FINE ART

Denver Arts & Venues

What makes it different: Denver Arts & Venues consists of some of Colorado’s premier venues, including the iconic Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and the Denver Performing Arts Complex, the country’s largest performing arts center under one roof. Additionally, the historic Denver Coliseum, the newly refurbished McNichols Civic Center Building, and the state-of-the-art Colorado Convention Center are a part of the collective.

Why we love it: The iconic Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre marked its 100-year anniversary in 2011. For the past century, it has been home to incredible musical performances, talented singers and musicians, Easter Sunrise Services, musicals, ballets, movie screenings, and more. With breathtaking views and located just minutes from downtown Denver, the 30,000 square foot Visitor Center is the ideal spot for your conference, meeting, or event.

MAKE HISTORY

History Colorado Center

What makes it different: History Colorado offers several unique and distinctive venues at which to host your event. The Center itself offers five versatile spaces for up to 500 guests. The elegant Grant-Humphreys Mansion is in Denver’s historic Quality Hill neighborhood and welcomes guests to its exquisite indoor and outdoor spaces. The El Pueblo History Museum combines contemporary architecture with a historic backdrop.

Why we love it: Opened in 2012, the award-winning Center houses core and traveling exhibitions, public programs and events, educational programs, and places to shop and dine. Venue rental includes complimentary Museum admission for all event rentals starting after 5 pm, plus AV equipment, a dedicated event manager, and security for up to 200 guests.

BACK TO NATURE

Butterfly Pavilion

What makes it different: Butterfly Pavilion is the first stand-alone, Association of Zoos and Aquariums-accredited non-profit invertebrate zoo in the world. With versatile indoor and outdoor spaces, interactive exhibits, and an indoor tropical rainforest filled with exotic butterflies from around the world, it’s a place your guests won’t soon forget.

Why we love it:  Visitors can participate in immersive and engaging experiences here. Event packages include tables and chair, fully equipped prep kitchen, high speed WiFi, AV equipment and ample parking.

A WHOLE NEW BALLGAME

Aramark at Coors Field | Colorado Rockies

What makes it different: This premier Colorado venue is home to the Colorado Rockies baseball team.  Located in the heart of Denver’s vibrant Lower Downtown district, the stadium offers spectacular views of the field, the city, and the Rocky Mountains. Choose the Warning Track for intimate gatherings, the Mountain Ranch Club for larger parties, the Super Suite Conference Center for corporate meetings, or the Main Concourse for tradeshows.

Why we love it: The newest space at Coors Field is the RoofTop with 38,000 square feet of flexible space, two premium bars, and Cabanas with lounge seating in an urban garden setting. The space features breathtaking panoramic views of Denver, the Mountains, and the stadium and can accommodate up to 1,200 guests.

A FAIR DEAL

Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park

What makes it different: The theme and water park is the perfect place to bring your peeps, whether for a corporate outing, company picnic, or team building gathering. Meeting facilities are available for as many as 10,000. The Mountain Grove Pavilions include four separate pavilions each in a private, beautifully landscaped area. The Trocadero Theatre offers 3,816 square feet of old-world elegance. Elitch Arena can accommodate 5,000 guests with stage, sound, and lighting available.

Why we love it: The theme park features thrill rides, family rides, kids’ rides, and water rides, while the water park’s exciting water slides, lazy river, wave pool and more are a refreshing experience on a hot day. Full park buyouts are available for groups that want to take over the park for the day.
